Domestication

So over the past couple of weeks I have been a little more domesticated. Here are some of my projects...
First - I cooked. This will not impress most, but for me, it's a lot... I was reminded why I don't cook from scratch often. It takes FOREVER! I made pasta with a fresh tomato sauce (next time I need to add more garlic!) and added chicken on top. I also made bruschetta with goat cheese. I should have used nicer plates...
I also painted some letters to hang over Jackson's crib. I haven't them yet because we are going to rearrange his furniture soon.
Today my mom and I worked on staining the bookcase that will go in Jackson's room. Here is a before picture and a picture of the shelf so you can see the after color.
ignore the cloudiness- it's a reflection

I am also making a bird mobile for his room (with a lot of help from my mom, of course). It won't be exactly like this one (I think the bottom bird is weird), but I have my fabrics picked and think it's a promising project.

And finally, some artwork for Jackson's room. I am copying these collages. I have already ordered the wood and have the patterns. I just need to pick out the paper and do a practice, while I wait for the wood to arrive.
