Technically, newborn photos are supposed to be taken within the first 10 days of life. With Jackson I was so sick for the first few weeks that I never got to take any. I was looking forward to getting to do that with Ben. Then, I got sick. The first 10 day thing didn't work out. After the first 10 days, babies don't sleep as much and aren't curled up as much, so the photos aren't as easy and sometimes you can't get certain poses. There were definitely some poses I wanted to get and wasn't able to get, but I'll take what I can get. I don't want to post them until the birth announcements are out, but here's one that I am not using...
